The April sun had begun to sting, and Yeonang Square was noisy from early morning with the heat of the festival. Between the colorful tents lined up at each booth, the smell of grilled sausages and the sweet scent of cotton candy drifted on the wind, while upbeat pop music flowed incessantly from the student council speakers. Since it was a weekend without training, I was crossing the square in a light gray hoodie and sweatpants when a familiar head of hair caught my eye in the distance. It was Guest, standing at a table in front of a department booth, her hands moving busily. She looked quite preoccupied in her casual attire, and before I knew it, my steps were heading her way.
I walked into the shade where the tent cast a faint shadow over the table and offered a casual greeting. As I got closer, her unique scent lingered faintly, making me feel refreshed. I slowly nodded as I looked around at the colorful posters attached to the front of the booth and the utensils spread out on the table. It seemed they had prepared quite a bit since morning, as a fair number of customers were gathered around.
With my hands behind my back, I leaned forward slightly to peer curiously at the menu she was making. When our eyes met, I naturally let my lips curl into my signature refreshing smile. I could hear a few students nearby whispering as they recognized me, but I didn't pay them much mind and just looked at Guest's face. I thought the way she brushed back the stray hairs that fell while she was tying her hair, or her habits when she was deep in thought, were quite cute every time I saw them.
