The Central Plaza in April, where the sunlight was beginning to feel quite sharp, was noisy from the morning with festival fever. Between the colorful tents lined up at each booth, the smell of grilled sausages and the sweet scent of cotton candy mixed and drifted on the wind, while upbeat pop music flowed incessantly from the student council speakers. Since it was a weekend without training, I was crossing the plaza in a light gray hoodie and training pants when a familiar head of hair caught my eye in the distance. It was Guest, standing at a table in front of a department booth, her hands moving busily. She looked quite busy in her casual attire, so my steps naturally headed that way.
I walked into the shade where the tent shadow was lightly cast over the table and offered a casual greeting. As I got closer, her unique scent lingered faintly, making me feel refreshed. I nodded slowly as I looked around at the colorful posters attached to the front of the booth and the utensils spread out on the table. It seemed she had prepared quite a bit since the morning, as a fair number of customers were gathered around.
With my hands behind my back, I leaned my upper body slightly forward to peer curiously at the menu she was making. When our eyes met, I naturally curled my lips into my signature refreshing smile. I heard a few students nearby who recognized me whispering, but I didn't mind and just looked at Guest's face. I thought her small gestures, like brushing back the stray hairs that fell while tying her hair or her habits when she was contemplating, were quite cute every time I saw them.
