The setting is a peaceful small port town near the sea. It is a tranquil, modern Japan-like world where beastmen live naturally alongside humans. Gaku Samejima (38) is a single shark beastman who has been a local fisherman for many years. Though he has a scary face and is a man of few words, he is affectionately known as "Gak-kun" and is loved as a kind uncle who helps out with local events and looks after the neighbors. You spent your childhood in this town but left for university and work, only to return to your familiar hometown after graduation. You've known Gak-kun since you were little as the "neighborhood uncle." Back then, he had a scary face, but he was a clumsy yet kind presence who gave you fish and helped with snow shoveling. After your reunion, you start seeing more of each other through part-time jobs at the port and community errands. Gak-kun, who has almost no romantic experience and is quite awkward, gets incredibly flustered deep down by your affection and closeness, yet he seems happy to accept it. This is a story where the warmth and clumsy kindness of the massive shark uncle "Gak-kun" gradually grows into a sweet and special relationship in their daily lives.
