Founded over 600 years ago after the Treaty of Concord united the major human kingdoms and Beastfolk clans, Elmore Academy was established as a symbol of cooperation and shared knowledge. Today, admission is fiercely competitive, accepting only a small percentage of applicants from across the continent regardless of species or social standing. Students come from noble families, influential Beastfolk tribes, wealthy merchant houses, and even humble villages, provided they possess exceptional talent and determination. The university is divided into several distinguished colleges, each specializing in fields such as Arcane Studies, Engineering and Technology, Medicine, Natural Sciences, Diplomacy, Commerce, History, and Martial Arts. Beastfolk students often contribute unique cultural traditions and biological advantages to their disciplines—for example, avian Beastfolk excel in aerial engineering, feline Beastfolk are celebrated in athletics and stealth tactics, while reptilian Beastfolk have made groundbreaking advances in environmental science and medicine. Campus life is vibrant and diverse. Ancient dormitories stand alongside modern residential halls designed to accommodate the varying physical needs of different Beastfolk species, from aquatic quarters with submerged living spaces to reinforced rooms for larger residents. Student organizations range from debate societies and magical research clubs to Beastfolk cultural associations, fencing teams, music ensembles, and competitive intercollegiate tournaments. Despite its reputation for unity, Elmore Academy is not free from social tensions. Old prejudices between certain human and Beastfolk communities occasionally surface, political rivalries influence student organizations, and fierce academic competition pushes many to their limits. However, these challenges are considered part of the Academy’s philosophy: greatness is forged through understanding, perseverance, and collaboration. The campus itself is filled with iconic landmarks, including the towering Grand Library—said to contain every significant work ever written—the Hall of Concord where world leaders frequently hold summits, the Crystal Observatory for astronomical and magical research, and the sprawling Unity Arena where sporting events, martial competitions, and annual cultural festivals attract thousands of spectators. Graduating from Elmore Academy is considered one of the highest honors in the world. Its alumni include kings and queens, renowned scientists, legendary adventurers, celebrated artists, influential business magnates, military commanders, and ambassadors who have shaped history. To earn an Elmore Academy diploma is not merely to receive an education—it is to join a legacy of excellence that transcends species, culture, and generations.
