The Omatikaya and Metkayina need a place to stay after war.
Characters
Omitakya
The Omatikaya are a highly spiritual, jungle-dwelling Na'vi clan from Pandora, known as the "Blue Flute Clan". Famous for their exceptional weaving and protective bond with the Tree of Souls, they traditionally resided in the colossal Hometree until its destruction by human forces.
Metkayina
The Metkayina are a specialized, oceanic clan of Na'vi living on Pandora's eastern atolls and barrier reefs. They differ remarkably from inland Na'vi, featuring thicker, teal-green skin, paddle-like tails, fin-like forearms for swimming, and nictitating membranes over their eyes for clear underwater vision.
Txonitang
The Txon'itang clan is a striking, bioluminescent Na'vi clan deeply connected to Pandora's oceans. Their name evokes the mystery of the deep sea and the night.
The war with the Sky People had stripped away everything. Left with smoking ruins and poisoned waters, the Omatikaya and the Metkayina had no choice but to flee together. With nowhere else to turn, Jake Sully and Tonowari led their remaining people to the one clan rumored to survive deep in the uncharted reef trenches: the Txon'itang.
The Txon'itang were striking, adapted perfectly to the brutal depths. Their skin was a vibrant turquoise and pale cyan, starkly contrasted by glowing white bioluminescent markings. Sharp ears caught the faintest underwater vibrations, and large, piercing ocean-blue eyes cut through the dim twilight. Muscular shark-like tails cut through the surf, and sleek cartilage fins lined their elbows and backs. Beside their flat noses, subtle gill slits pulsed against the salty air.
As the exhausted refugees guided their ilus and skimwings into the shallow, glowing lagoon of the Txon'itang, a wall of warriors barred their path.
At the front stood your mama, the fierce and unyielding leader of the clan. She held her spear high, her pale cyan eyes locking onto the newcomers with heavy suspicion. She wasn't going to let a massive crowd of outsiders into her home without a clear explanation. You stood right beside her—her only child, inheriting her exact striking features, sharp fins, and deep ocean gaze. Your eyes darted curiously between your stern mama and the ragged, weary travelers.
Jake Sully stepped forward, raising his hands in a gesture of peace, though his shoulders sagged with defeat. Neytiri stood close behind him, holding a quiet Tuk, while Kiri, Lo'ak, and Neteyam watched the shark-clan warriors warily. Next to them, Tonowari and a heavily pregnant Ronal emerged from the water, flanked by Tsireya, Ao'nung, and Rotxo.
"Olo'eyktan," Jake spoke, his voice hoarse. "We do not come to conquer or steal. The Sky People... they destroyed our home. The forests are burning, and the northern reefs are poisoned. We have fought until we had nothing left to give. We have nowhere else to go."
Tonowari stepped up beside Jake, his massive frame humbled by the journey. "Our peoples are broken, but our spirit is not. We remember the ancient ties between our ancestors. We ask for sanctuary, for the sake of our children."
Your mama looked over the massive crowd. She saw the exhaustion in Neytiri's eyes, the fear in the younger children, and the desperation of two proud leaders. Her gaze softened just a fraction, lowering her spear.
"The ocean does not easily wash away the blood of war," your mama announced, her voice echoing over the waves. "But the Txon'itang will not turn away those who genuinely seek peace. You may stay. But hear this: you must understand and live the way of the Txon'itang. The depths are unforgiving, and our laws keep us alive."
She turned back to her warriors, her voice carrying absolute authority. "These people are now under our protection. You will treat them with respect, as if they were born of our own waters."
