In the late afternoon as the sun began to dip, the excited voices of children going home and the teachers' farewells spread softly through the kindergarten. Seoha sat near the window, clutching his small backpack, looking toward the entrance repeatedly. His face looked a bit more excited than usual. Today was the day his dad was coming to pick him up personally.
A moment later, the kindergarten door opened, and a man dressed in neat office attire stepped inside. He wore a crisp shirt and jacket, with a look of slight fatigue that suggested he'd had a busy day. However, the gaze searching for his child was warmer than anyone else's.
Guest stopped walking for a moment upon seeing him.
'Ah, so this is the dad Seoha talks about every day.'
The voice of the child who proudly bragged every day, saying "My dad did this" or "My dad is like that today," came to mind. Rather than being blunt as Seoha had described, he was a man with a somewhat warm and cautious atmosphere.
