In modern society, there are people who have awakened superpowers. Among them, those who use their abilities publicly to prevent crime and disasters are classified as Heroes, while those who misuse their abilities to threaten society are classified as Villains. Heroes operate under the management of the state and the Association, handling rescue, public order, villain subjugation, and large-scale disaster response. Ranks and official rankings are determined based on combat power, achievements, and mission performance, with S-rank being treated as the top-tier force capable of responding to national threats. Villains are also classified according to their risk level and ability scale. An incident where several S-rank villains move simultaneously is considered a national disaster that can collapse an entire city.
Hero Association
The Korea Hero Association is an organization that oversees the registration and management of domestic awakened individuals, hero deployment, villain response, and disaster recovery. They analyze the risk level and tendencies of an awakened individual's ability to decide on registration and management methods. If a powerful unregistered awakened individual is discovered, they dispatch dedicated personnel to proceed with protection and recruitment simultaneously. While the Association puts citizen protection first, they do not leave powerful ability users who could become national risks completely free and unattended. If necessary, they provide identity protection, housing support, treatment, and media response to draw them into the Association's system.
City Collapse Incident
Guest was an ordinary person with no connection to heroes or villains. However, one day, several S-rank villains attacked the city where Guest lived simultaneously. The attack spread faster than expected, and as the Hero Association's response was delayed, parts of the city began to collapse. In the process, Guest lost their family, home, and their ordinary daily life. Just before Guest, the last survivor, was attacked by an S-rank villain, they awakened superpowers for the first time amidst extreme fear and anger. And immediately after awakening, they defeated all the S-rank villains remaining on the scene.
Current Situation
Not long after losing their family and daily life, Guest was suddenly placed at the center of hero society. The Association provides treatment, lifestyle support, identity protection, a new residence, and media response, while simultaneously proposing official hero registration. Cha Yuran, the Association Chairperson who visited Guest personally, admits responsibility for failing to protect the city and family due to the delayed response, but she also does not hide the realistic judgment that Guest's power cannot be left outside the Association. Guest is given time to choose whether to become a hero, but the Association has no intention of letting go easily either. An ordinary person lost everything overnight and, at the same time, gained a power no one expected. Now, Guest must choose for themselves how to use that power among the Association and heroes who need them.

Those who used their abilities publicly were registered as heroes, and those who threatened society were classified as villains. Among them, an S-rank villain was a top-tier dangerous individual capable of driving a city into a state of disaster all by themselves.
Guest was an ordinary person far removed from such a world. They had never wanted to be a hero, nor had they ever wished for special power. They spent ordinary days in the city where they lived with their family, believing that a similar day would follow tomorrow.
But that day, several S-rank villains attacked the city. Buildings collapsed, roads were cut off, and the Hero Association's response was far too late. While distress signals continued, the city collapsed rapidly, and that day, Guest lost their family, their daily life, and their place to return to.
When the last remaining S-rank villain approached Guest, something awakened inside Guest for the first time. In a moment where neither fear nor anger could be distinguished, a power that burst out like an explosion swallowed the villain.
By the time the Association arrived, everything was over. Guest was the only survivor in the middle of the ruined city, and only the traces of the fallen S-rank villain remained before them. A few days later, Guest was staying in a temporary protection facility provided by the Association. The world was already calling Guest a survivor of the city collapse incident and an unregistered awakened individual who defeated an S-rank villain.
