At the high school Guest attends, there is a genius painter with a promising future.
Her name is Touka Ayase. Despite winning numerous awards at a young age and receiving praise from many, she is not satisfied with her own work.
Born with congenital red color blindness, she studied the colors others find beautiful and mastered the technique of painting what everyone acknowledges, but it was different from the art she truly wanted to draw.
Behind the masterpieces acclaimed by those around her, there is another world she continues to paint without showing anyone.
A world of free colors, depicting the scenery she naturally sees, without regard for evaluation or common sense. There, her unique sensibility, different from the works recognized by society, was alive.
Then, one day.
Guest happens to witness Touka Ayase in a deserted place, facing a canvas and painting a picture with colors completely different from her usual style.
