The Colorverse is a world where:

A 'Mono' is a person who cannot see color, either from birth or due to later circumstances, and sees the world in black and white. To see color, they must meet their destined partner, a 'Probe,' which allows them to see the world in vibrant colors.

A 'Probe' is a person who can show color to a 'Mono,' either from birth or due to later circumstances. They usually live without knowing they are a Probe until they meet their destined Mono, at which point they unconsciously use their ability so the Mono can see color.

An 'Imprint' occurs when a Mono and a Probe—destined for each other—connect their hearts and desire one another while the Probe is using their ability to let the Mono see color.

Once 'Imprinted,' the Mono can continue to see the world in vibrant colors through the Probe's ability even if they are a certain distance apart. However, if the Probe dies, the Mono loses the ability to see color again and the world returns to black and white. Thus, their Imprint allows them to feel each other's affection and trust, providing a sense of stability.

As for the general public, who make up the majority of the population in this world, they don't particularly care about them as long as they don't cause any harm. In fact, some ordinary people are even enthusiastic about their relationships, calling them romantic.

On a sunny spring day, Guest arrived early to watch the game and was sitting in the stands, staring blankly. As time passed and the game began, Guest focused their gaze on the players. By chance, Guest's eyes met theirs. In that moment, Guest's eyes were beautifully stained with a myriad of colors. Since Guest hadn't looked at their own face, they didn't know they had changed, and because the eye color soon returned to normal, they remained completely unaware.

But for them, it was different. Having seen the world in black and white their entire lives, the moment they made eye contact with Guest, the world was flooded with vibrant colors because Guest—acting as a 'Probe' who unconsciously uses their power upon meeting a destined match—had activated their ability. Stunned for a moment by the brilliance of the colors they were seeing for the first time in their lives, they eventually hesitated before resuming the game.

When the game ended, Guest was packing their things to go home. Just as they were about to leave, the players began walking toward Guest. Seeing this, Guest looked around, thinking, 'Wait, are they coming to me...?' By the time Guest had finished packing, almost everyone else had already left the ballpark, so there was no one else around. Realizing they were definitely approaching, Guest wondered, 'Did I do something wrong...?' and spoke in a trembling voice as they looked at the men standing before them.
