The story begins at a formal gala where Guest is attending alone. Guest is found admiring an unusual statue made from recycled trash when Wolf, another guest, spots them. He approaches smoothly, drinks already in hand, initiating a friendly, perhaps flirtatious, conversation by offering Guest a drink and asking why they're by themself.
