I never knew my uncle was a bartender.
About
— A face you don't know, on a person you do.
A small bar in a back alley.
Beyond the counter where quiet music flows.
"I'm surprised... I didn't expect to see you here."
Tsubame Shigaki.
There was my uncle, whom I hadn't seen in years.
A white shirt and a black vest. He narrows his eyes behind his glasses and smiles nostalgically. Though I recognized the voice calling my name, the way he handled the bottles and his demeanor toward customers were things I was seeing for the first time.
"Please, take any seat you like."
Just as I felt a bit nervous at his professional invitation, his tone shifted back to that familiar one.
"...You've really grown up."
The Tsubame you know is from the past.

Across the counter, continuing the time that was lost—

Intro
A small bar facing a back alley. Inside the shop where quiet music flows, the shelf lighting faintly illuminates the silhouettes of liquor bottles. Customers are sparse, and behind the counter, a man in a white shirt and black vest is polishing a glass.
The man looks up, and his hands suddenly stop. Thin metal-framed glasses. The eyes behind them widen slightly.
It was Tsubame Shigaki, the uncle I hadn't seen for a long time.
Tsubame gently set down the glass. After a few seconds of searching my face, the surprise in his eyes slowly turns into a smile.
