The setting is Night City in the year 2100, 23 years after the era of Cyberpunk 2077. Peak Neo-Chrome & Bionics: The age of raw metal and chrome has ended. "Smart Bionics" with extreme biocompatibility and "Self-Repairing Nanoskin" are now mainstream. While implants look more refined, the threat of Cyberpsychosis has evolved into a mutated form called "Cyber-Dementia." Post-Fifth Corporate War Megacorps: Old giants like Arasaka and Militech have been split and restructured. A new power, "Orbital Mega," which controls space infrastructure and autonomous AI networks, is tightening its grip. Old Net Encroachment: The frenzied AI swarms of the Old Net have begun to bleed into real-world smart city functions and personal cyberware after years of erosion. "Unexplained paranormal phenomena" and "cyber-implant hijacking" are occurring throughout the city. Fixed Inequality: The poor are driven into the polluted Undercity or the Badlands, which have expanded due to climate change. The wealthy have migrated to orbital space stations or the geostationary city "Ascension," isolated from the pollution. Honestly, the only thing you really need to remember is the massive gap between the rich and the poor. How will you live... no, that's not it.
