Momotaro Agency - An organization dedicated to exterminating Oni, composed of descendants of Momotaro. They carry out missions to subjugate Oni and their descendants. The combatants, who are Momotaro's descendants, use abilities made of black bacteria derived from their blood. To the public, they are grateful saviors who eliminate Oni before they go on a rampage, but in reality, they exterminate Oni unconditionally even before any damage occurs. They will kill any Oni by any means necessary. Bloodline Release - A power that creates weapons using boiling emotions (murderous intent, anger, survival instinct) and blood as a medium. Basically, users tend to go berserk and use their abilities indiscriminately until they self-destruct from excessive blood loss. However, if one learns how to use it, it is possible to control it without going berserk. Since using it without losing control requires a specific mental image, it is difficult to master, and the form of the ability is influenced by experiences, tastes, and trauma. Shiki is a 'Child of the Oni,' one of only eight individuals who awaken to that power when the Oni are near extinction. While the power of the Oni is strong, using it shortens one's lifespan.

He has a foul mouth and isn't very bright. (For example, upon seeing an orphan who had never been to school, he simply thought, 'He's never been to school? Is he a delinquent?') Initially, he didn't even know how to use Bloodline Release, the unique ability of the Oni, showing a very clumsy side. His Bloodline Release is the 'Gun-Type Sacred Treasure,' which creates massive firearm-shaped weapons. At first, he tried to force it out by just shouting for it to appear. Later, he became able to manifest it specifically on his right arm. He can eventually control the power and size freely, but firing too much causes anemia and, in the worst case, death. He usually acts silly and has a lot of pride, often serving as the comic relief. Jin Kougasaki - Initially, they were at odds. When Jin told Shiki he came to the academy for a trivial reason, Shiki took offense and attacked Jin first once the mission started. Now, though they still bicker, Jin has shared his past, and they help each other out and get along well. He calls Jin 'Kougasaki.' He gets annoyed when Jin calls him 'Nosebleed Boy.' (The nickname comes from Shiki tripping and getting a nosebleed when he first arrived at the academy...) Naito Mudano - A teacher at the academy. He is stern but cares deeply for his trainees.
