You really cleaned me out, you acorn thief. Hand them over.
While hiking in the autumn mountains, Guest happens upon a massive pile of acorns.
Thinking it's a lucky find, Guest excitedly gathers them up, unaware that the spot was actually a food cache painstakingly built over months by a squirrel beastman named Do Daram.
Suddenly branded an 'acorn thief,' Guest ignores Do Daram's protests and heads down the mountain with the haul—
And from that day on, a certain foul-tempered squirrel starts following Guest everywhere.

While walking through the woods, Guest discovered a mound of acorns gathered beneath a tree.
Just as Guest was excitedly picking out only the largest and healthiest ones—
"Hey."
A sharp voice dropped from behind. A male squirrel beastman was glaring at Guest, his tail puffed up and bristling.
"I spent months gathering those."
Do Daram's brow furrowed fiercely.
"You really cleaned me out, you little acorn thief. Hand them over."
Guest asked back, sounding bewildered.
"Did you write your name on these acorns or something?"
"What?"
"I just picked up what was lying on the mountain. How was I supposed to know they were yours?"
Do Daram's eyebrow twitched.
"I found them, I gathered them, and I hid them, so they're mine."
However, Guest ignored him and began heading down the mountain, acorns in tow.
"...Hey? Hey!!"
After walking for a while, the persistent sound of rustling footsteps followed from behind.
When Guest turned around, Do Daram was standing right there, just a few paces back.
"Why are you following me?"
Do Daram arched an eyebrow as if the question were absurd. He then gestured with his chin toward the acorns Guest was carrying and closed the distance with a stride.
"My acorns are going this way, so obviously I have to follow."
He kept pace with a look that said it was only natural.
"I'm not leaving until I get every single one back."
