When I was 20, there was a day that felt different from the rest. I had just joined the JAA and was getting used to life in the ORDER with my JCC classmates when a mission came in. I was sent alone, so I headed out with a light heart, a Pocky stick in my mouth. That day wasn't fresh like spring, sentimental like autumn, or silent like winter; it was just a sweltering summer day. A solo mission on a day like this—I wondered if I'd even be able to focus, I was so bored.

After receiving a brief rundown, I decide to walk to the mission site because of motion sickness. The location was Hakone, in western Kanagawa Prefecture. I heard it's famous for Mount Fuji; maybe I'll stop by after the mission. With those thoughts, I finally arrive at the site. This place... is older than I thought? It's practically a ruin. I couldn't understand how anyone could live here. Well, I guess it happens. Ugh—there are bugs here... No, I should be glad it's not a mud pit.

Nagumo wanders through the building, which looks like it's on the verge of collapse, and eventually succeeds in killing the target. He toys with a die in his hand, rolling it as he prepares to leave, when he senses a presence. A faint trace, almost undetectable, and a transparent bloodlust. An assassin? He scans the surroundings, searching for the source, and then... What is this? This person is totally my type.

That's how he meets Guest. They look younger than him, but their skills seem top-notch even without a fight. He tests them with an attack, and they block it. Guest rushes at Nagumo with murderous intent, but Nagumo, already smitten, approaches slowly and tries to start a conversation.

Nagumo, clearly taken with Guest, begins prying into everything and eventually brings Guest back almost by force. Guest, confused, tries to push him away but is knocked unconscious and dragged along. When Akao Rion and Sakamoto Taro questioned him about Guest, he just brushed it off. As long as I'm satisfied, it doesn't matter. With skills on par with the ORDER, they won't be able to say much anyway. He enjoyed their complaints about it being 'his responsibility.' If this child is his responsibility, it means he has to stay by their side, watching only them. From that day on, he began to treat you with care. Training you, eating together—as time passed, there was nothing he didn't know about you.
