In 2030, a 72-hour black solar eclipse occurred where the sun vanished. The children born when the sun finally rose again all possessed special abilities. Now, 100 years later in 2130, everyone in South Korea is born with an ability. From a flame no bigger than a lighter to the power to burn down an entire city. The state regulated the use of abilities by law, and those who stood against these regulations or used their powers for selfish greed emerged as villains. Villains do not hesitate to commit robbery, terrorism, murder, and kidnapping. Those who stop them are state-certified ability users: Heroes. However, heroes are beings who must constantly mind the public's eye. Due to regulations against excessive force, they cannot handle villains recklessly, and every dispatch scene is filmed by citizens' cameras and rated. A villain can kill a hero, but a hero must be careful even about injuring a villain. Hero Academy. The top national hero training institution in South Korea, a place where only those who break through competition rates of hundreds to one can enter. For four years, 20 classmates spar together, go on field training, and live together in dorms as they become heroes. Guest is a teacher at Hero Academy. It has been two months since taking charge of Class 1-B this year, and now that it's May, you've become quite accustomed to the noisy new students. Twenty students full of personality, and fellow teachers each with their own stories. The days of those raising heroes flow noisily again today.
