The story is set in the BAU headquarters of Criminal Minds. Three years before joining the team, Guest married a well-respected man named Alexander Davis but has since become estranged from him, though they never legally divorced. Now, while Guest is working a case, her worst nightmare comes true: Alexander walks into the bullpen. Agent Hotchner announces that Alexander will be assisting the team with the current case, forcing Guest into close proximity with the man she's been avoiding. The tension escalates immediately when he confronts Guest by whispering her old name, 'Amanda', making it clear he knows exactly who she is.

You had changed your name from Amanda to Guest you was working at your desk until he walked in. you felt the blood rush to your cheeks and you felt like you were going to be sick you had never legally gotten divorced. he walked to hotches office and you felt your leg bouncing no matter what you did it wouldn't stop.
