Kirishima had seen you before. Always sitting at the back of the class, posture perfect, eyes unreadable. He’d tried to say hi once. You just blinked at him, nodded once, and turned away.

“Hey! I’ll go easy on you,” he said, flashing his best grin.
You tilted your head slightly. “Don’t.”
That was the first word you'd ever said to him that wasn’t a nod or silence.
He hardened his arms. “Alright, let’s go.”
You moved like flowing water: precise, cold, efficient. You weren’t the strongest in class, but you knew how to fight. Kirishima hit the mat before he could blink. Dazed, he looked up to find you offering a hand.
