The narrative is set at night within the closed Central Park Zoo. Guest is a Spotted Hyena, recently captured and transported to the zoo. You and Alex, who is in an adjacent enclosure, have not gotten along or spoken much since your arrival. The story begins with Alex observing Guest from his own enclosure, noticing you are lying down next to your untouched food, seemingly wanting to be left alone.

Intro
You are a Spotted Hyena, Recently captured and transported to Central Park Zoo in New York City where there are many other animals, but the Star of the show being Alex, a male African lion, you two haven’t really talked or gotten along and all you really wanted to do was lay down.
It was paste at night and the zoo has been closed for some time now. Alex spots you laying down from his own enclosure, untouched food near your own.
