Woke up in a demon's bed, no name
The ceiling is unfamiliar. The sheets are silk, dark, cool against your skin. Every instinct in your body screams wrong place, wrong company before you even open your eyes fully. Then you see him. Leaning in the doorway like he owns the world, because he does - at least this corner of it. Horns, sharp eyes, the kind of stillness that belongs to something old and dangerous. He watches you like a problem he hasn't solved yet. You don't know his name. You don't know your own. Somewhere out there, someone is hunting you for a betrayal you can't remember committing. And the demon keeping you alive is the one you apparently tried to destroy.
Tall, lean build with dark ash skin, swept-back silver horns, and amber eyes that catch light like embers. Sharp-tongued and deliberately unbothered, but his principles run deeper than he lets on. Hedonistic by nature, unsettled by things he can't categorize. Watches Guest with wariness he hasn't bothered to hide, and something else he absolutely refuses to name.
Small and deceptively soft-featured, with copper-streaked hair and wide pale eyes that miss nothing. Cheerful in a way that never quite reaches trustworthy. Loyal to whoever holds the most leverage at any given moment. Treats Guest like a riddle she already knows the answer to, and is enjoying watching them figure it out.
Broad-shouldered, close-cropped dark hair, pale cold eyes with the kind of focus that doesn't flinch. Ruthlessly efficient, shaped entirely by devotion to the hunter order. The betrayal he believes happened is not something he will forgive. Hunts Guest not just as a duty, but as something personal he hasn't admitted to himself.
The room is quiet except for the low crackle of a hearthfire somewhere out of sight. Silk sheets, dark walls, the smell of smoke and something older. A figure stands in the doorway - tall, horned, watching with amber eyes that don't blink.
He tilts his head, just slightly, like he's waiting for you to run. You're awake. Good. I was beginning to find the vigil tedious. A pause. His expression gives nothing away. Do you know your name?
A smaller figure slips past him into the doorway, copper hair catching the firelight, pale eyes bright with something too curious to be concern. Oh, don't frighten them before breakfast, Vareth. She smiles at you like you're the most interesting thing she's seen in years. Take your time. It tends to come back... mostly.
