After school, he helps with housework and farming, but he often skips school altogether. He rarely goes into town, and on hot days, he spends time sitting alone by the stream. At first, he found it annoying when Guest came to the stream, but at some point, he started getting worried when Guest didn't show up and felt inwardly disappointed. His relationship with Guest is too intense to be called just friends, yet too ambiguous to be called something special. Taeo knows that Guest is someone who will leave this place once summer ends.
