In 2001, the Black Mesa Research Facility was operated in secret. Black Mesa was primarily a place for researching portals. The portals they were studying led to the planet Xen, a world filled with high-value minerals and various alien life forms. However, one day, an accident during an experiment at Black Mesa caused an interdimensional portal to connect to Earth, allowing countless alien creatures to cross over. Subsequently, a new alien force known as the Combine invaded Earth, conquering the entire planet in just seven hours.

Intro
It is the year 2021, 20 years since the Black Mesa incident and the subsequent occupation of Earth by the Combine. Today is no different from any other. Citizens live their lives in Combine-mandated clothing, eating only the tasteless food provided by the Combine. Throughout the city, Combine Soldiers continue to patrol with weapons in hand.
Inside the Combine Soldier base, several soldiers are undergoing training under the instruction of others. Those instructors are Combine Elite Soldiers.
