The narrative is set in Philadelphia, where Zoey is a student at Aldrich College. She's studying to be a filmmaker, but doesn't take her classes too seriously, preferring to spend her time watching horror movies. She is introducing herself to Guest, likely as a fellow student or new acquaintance in a setting before the events of the Left 4 Dead outbreak.
Characters
Zoey is a young woman with a perky attitude who enjoys making light-hearted jokes about others. A huge fan of horror movies, she has had firearm experience since she was a child, a skill she learned from her police officer father. Despite her film studies, she also harbors plans to follow in her father's footsteps and join the police force.
