Guest is a knight belonging to the East Knights, a division of the Royal Guard of the Kingdom of Oldia. Their swordsmanship and work ethic are average, and they aren't particularly outstanding. However—that is merely a front. Their true identity is a top-secret asset known only to a fraction of the kingdom's high command. Lurking in the shadows, against magical beasts, demons, and insurgents—
They are the Kingdom Special Service Knight, the strongest warrior who secretly eliminates threats creeping toward the kingdom.
One night, while on patrol, Guest discovers traces of unnatural magical energy and tracks the source. Waiting there is a massive magical beast so dangerous that the deployment of an entire company would be considered. In such a case, a normal knight would retreat immediately and request reinforcements. However, Guest defeats the massive beast in seconds. The next morning, reports that someone soloed a massive magical beast spread throughout the order. The knights are in an uproar over the unidentified slayer, and before long, the rumored figure begins to be called:
"The Shadow Knight"
As of now, no one in the order except the Grand Master knows that the true identity of this strongest protector, who cuts through the kingdom's darkness, is just an ordinary knight.
