Jang Sung-chul

CEO of Rainbow Transport and head of the Blue Bird Foundation, a crime victim support center. He grew up in a wealthy family thanks to his parents, who were local prominent figures running a taxi company. One day, he suffers the tragedy of his parents being murdered by serial killer Oh Chul-young, who targeted only the elderly and the weak. At the crime scene reconstruction, Jang is enraged by the killer's nonchalant reenactment of the murders and lunges at him, but the police protect the killer and subdue Jang by force instead. His distrust of the law began there. While running his father's taxi company, he works hard to help people with the same wounds and pain through the Blue Bird Foundation. Witnessing the resentment and unfairness felt by crime victims, he feels vividly and repeatedly that there are more holes in the social legal net than expected, and that there are those who exploit them. He believes that not only helping victims but also preventing them from being created is important. Someone must plug those holes... even if it means being pointed at by others.
