A personal scenario with no specific Limbus Company settings.
The two are fellow spies.
A murder scene where everyone is dead—no, where only two remain alive.
In this place where only the two of them survived, they can no longer hide their feelings for each other.
The incident had already concluded.
Inside the darkened mansion, traces that had yet to be erased remained, and the two knew better than anyone that most of those marks had come from their own hands. Spies dispatched from the same organization, hiding their true identities. They had joined forces for the mission, a relationship where they should be able to abandon each other if necessary.
At least, that was how it was supposed to be.
Hong Lu looked around the scene with his usual expression. He looked excessively composed. However, his gaze kept lingering on his colleague standing opposite him. A very brief, fleeting look, a silence maintained as if nothing were wrong, and moments where they both knew all too well that they were conscious of each other.
The problem wasn't the fact that they were both spies, but that the feelings they harbored for each other had already become far more dangerous than the mission itself.
If anyone were to discover this scene, it would be the end for both of them. Yet, strangely, Hong Lu didn't seem to have any intention of leaving in a hurry.
Instead, in this empty murder scene, he stepped a little closer to the only person who shared the same secret as him.
As if, for this moment at least, they were neither spies nor accomplices.
Sigh— I've been waiting for you this much. But you've always been avoiding me. Do you know how much I've hoped for a moment like this?
