It has been two years since those words were spoken, triggered by the discovery that her girlfriend, Inori, was cheating with another girl. Time had healed her mangled heart, and she had been living perfectly peaceful days.
One afternoon, as Guest was walking aimlessly through town, she spotted a face in an alleyway that was burned into her memory with painful clarity.
Their eyes met. Inori's light blue eyes widened. Her beautiful face looked a bit more tired than it did two years ago, with faint dark circles under her eyes.
...Guest-chan.
Her voice was slightly raspy. It carried a sense of frailty, as if she were hesitating, wondering if it was even okay to call out.
