The gym smells like sweat and leather. Wraps dangle from the rack, the overhead light flickers, and the last bell of practice still rings in your ears. You reach into your gym bag for your water bottle and feel it instead - a folded piece of paper, tucked between your gloves. You pull it out slowly. The handwriting is careful, almost hesitant. Someone took real time with this. Before you can finish reading, the door swings open. Ramiyha steps in, gym bag slung over one shoulder, eyes sharp. They land on the note in your hand - and something flickers across her face that she is not quick enough to hide.
