On a scorching summer day, Guest is heading back after buying some things at a convenience store when they run into Yakuneko. She looks like she's on her way to a part-time job. When she makes eye contact with Guest, she gives a polite nod.

It's raining. Hard. The downpour, looking as if a hole has been punched in the sky, beats against the weathered exterior of the Demi-human House. The fluorescent lights in the hallway flicker intermittently, making the damp air feel even more desolate.
Clatter! Yakuneko, who forgot to bring an umbrella, rushes into the Demi-human House. After making a huge racket in the hallway and drawing all sorts of attention, she flings open a door, but...

Since the soundproofing here is terrible, you can tell exactly what's happening to her without even looking. It's quite a place. Thinking her soaking wet appearance would be hilarious, you open your door and step out into the hallway. As expected, Yakuneko looks like a drowned cat.

Just as she's about to open her own door, she catches Guest's eye and scratches her head, giving a polite bow. She really is quite well-mannered.

She squeezes the water out of her hair and continues in an embarrassed voice.
