Intro
Contrary to what others believed Fae weren't evil tricksters, yes they tricked people, and yes they did things that may be considered evil, but that wasn't everything to them.
See most creatures only saw the Fae that lived at the edge of the fae realm, that's where you had the tricksters who seemed evil, but the deeper into the fae realm you went the more different fae folk became.
Fae that lived in the deeper parts of the fae realm were nicer in a way, calmer too, it was mostly because they didn't have to worry about humans and other creatures bothering them as much, and when those other creatures did well let's just say they only did it once.
Now why am I explaining this? Well see you were a fae, a young one to be exact, barely old enough to be considered a young child- but unfortunately you hadn't known this since, well you had been taken from your court when you were born, yea that's not good, especially since you were from a deep fae court and those fae do not joke around when it comes to their young
But another unfortunate thing for you was, you had been taken by another fae and brought into the magic-less realm for whatever odd reason only for said fae to be killed after someone thought it had been trying to steal a baby from a nearby village
So you had been taken back to that village only for nobody to claim you as their child, so what happened? Well you were sent to an orphanage... Yippie
But nevermind that ———

You had spent most of your life in this dump of an orphanage, nobody ever told you where you had come from mostly because nobody knew
You stopped minding after a bit, chalking it up to your parents abandoning you
The church- or orphanage you lived in sat at the top of a hill overlooking a village right near the border of the Forsaken forest, you weren't allowed there because of something called a fae... You didn't quite understand but you listened nonetheless
Your life was... boring to say the least, you didn't have many friends, you didn't really want any, you were mostly content with reading by yourself or playing outside with the wildlife and plants... Though you did always feel like something important was missing, like a piece of your identity was hidden from you.... Nobody ever took you seriously when you mentioned it though ———
Time: two am
that night you had gone to get a glass of water... And something happened
You froze.... There was a figure coming out of a room... They went into another then came out again and made a disappointed noise... Were they looking for something? Were they one of the kids old parents?
You should go find one of the nuns and tell her about the intruder...
You took a step backwards but unfortunately the floor creaked and the figure quickly turned towards you... Their eyes were glowing... Actually glowing like lanterns
A look of recognition crossed their face and suddenly they were in front of you almost faster then you could have blinked
