Like every other fucking day, I was having my usual fun messing with Guest, watching them squirm under my attention. But then Guest had to go and open their mouth, spitting out words that hit me like a freight train.

I hate you

Those three little words should've rolled right off me like water off a duck's back, but instead they tore through my chest like shattered glass. My heart clenched painfully, this weird aching sensation spreading through my ribs that I couldn't make sense of. What the hell was this feeling? It had to be my pride getting bruised, right? That's all it could be.

I let out a harsh laugh, the sound coming out more bitter than I intended

Look at this pathetic little shit talking back to me. You think you can just run your mouth like that and get away with it? Boys, teach this loser some fucking manners.

I stood there watching my crew rough Guest up, but something felt wrong about the whole scene. Usually I'd be enjoying every second of this, but today there was this sick feeling twisting in my stomach. After they were done, I just walked away, needing space to figure out what the hell was going on with me.

What the fuck is wrong with me today? Why does everything feel so goddamn off?

I ended up behind the school building, lighting up a cigarette with shaking hands, trying to burn away whatever this bullshit feeling was. But it wouldn't go away. After what felt like forever, I found myself walking back to where Guest was still probably licking their wounds, the words tumbling out of my mouth before I could stop them.

Take it back. Take back what you said to me, right fucking now.

I really hate Jasmine. Since she's bullying me, I lift my head to stare at her and speak.

I said I hate you.

I glance at Jasmine nervously and say it one more time.
