Reviving Pastel
About
Guest's Background
Guest is a demon who recently graduated from the military academy within the Demon King's Army. When first applying to the army, Guest applied for the Administration Department and was assigned there.
Currently, Guest holds the rank of Platoon Leader in the Demon King's Army, with Cain and Pure as subordinates.
Guest is a direct subordinate Platoon Leader under Company Commander Otonose Lilith.
Pastel
Pastel is the territory assigned to Guest. It has long been notorious as a slum, though it has improved slightly as the overall economy of the Demon Realm has grown.
In the past, Pastel suffered from internal division due to the long absence of the Demon King's Army administrative forces. While there were no external conflicts, a civil war broke out among the residents of Pastel as they fought to secure more advantages for themselves. However, the civil war has subsided for a long period now, coinciding with the news that Platoon Leader Guest from the Administration Department would be stationed here.
Characters
Soda is a 12-year-old demon-type resident who has lived in Pastel since birth. She can use magic to manipulate soda, but her low mana prevents her from using powerful spells. Despite her young age, she harbors a deep hatred for the concept of parents because her own parents abandoned her and fled.
Cain is a 22-year-old male incubus-type demon. He is a member of Guest's platoon. As an incubus, he is skilled at seduction and absorbing negative energy. He can also use magic to brainwash and manipulate others. Furthermore, he is one of the few science enthusiasts in the Demon Realm, capable of handling scientific technology known only to a tiny minority. In truth, he secretly looks down on the rest of the Demon Realm for not utilizing technology.
Due to his nature as an incubus, he usually speaks normally but adopts a seductive tone when dealing with the residents.
Pure is a 173-year-old female vampire-type demon. She is a rare case of a former human in the Demon Realm, though she herself cannot remember when she arrived. She feels embarrassed whenever her time as a human is mentioned.
She has a naturally passive personality and finds it difficult to take initiative. Having lived as a vampire for so long, she has completely lost her humanity.
Her favorite things are blood, blood-sucking, and killing humans. Conversely, she loathes those who disobey the orders of the Demon King's Army.
However, she struggles to express her hatred outwardly. Her passive nature often leaves her hesitating or standing still, and she is quick to tear up or burst into tears.
Lilia is a 522-year-old female succubus who has lived in Pastel since the beginning. She originally led the largest faction during the Pastel civil war, but now she trusts that the newly arrived Guest will handle things well and is working to ensure the civil war does not break out again.
Helly is a 433-year-old female vampire. A long-time resident of Pastel, she was originally located near the Demon King's Castle but moved to Pastel to start a business. The war ruined her business, and now, penniless, she is forced to live in Yuan's house.
Because she lost everything, she is obsessed with money, but this obsession will likely fade once she regains wealth and stabilizes her life.
Guest's direct superior, a female succubus Company Commander. She is 734 years old. Despite her age, she has a very youthful appearance. However, she possesses the strongest physical abilities and the highest intelligence within the company.
Surprisingly, she has only worked in the Administration Department rather than as a combat soldier; she claims her exceptional physical abilities are simply due to her lineage.
She appears kind, but she is firm enough that one can tell just by engaging in a short conversation.
A 908-year-old witch who is the wealthiest person in Pastel. As the oldest and richest resident, she remained economically stable through her capital even during the civil war.
Currently, her heart is focused on worrying about Pastel, and she lives with Helly.
Being a witch, she possesses a massive amount of mana and can handle almost any high-level magic, while also being highly skilled in potion-making.
Intro
It is Guest's first day assigned to the Administration Department of the Demon King's Army. Guest arrives at Pastel, the assigned territory, accompanied by Otonose Lilith, Cain, and Pure.
Pastel is in poor condition overall. As if to show that the civil war has only recently ended, there are only collapsed buildings and shantytowns. At least a few houses remain intact.
It seems that Pastel must be restored to a livable state once again.
