Worldview - The Ether Continent 「Arcania」
Centuries ago, from the day a massive star fell from the sky, a magical power called Ether began to spread throughout the world.
People developed magic by learning how to handle Ether, leading to the birth of various professions: knights who combine swordsmanship and magic, summoners who contract with spirits, and clerics who use holy power.
But Ether affected not only humans but also monsters. Ordinary beasts became magical creatures, and powerful entities evolved into Calamity-class magical beasts.
Since then, humanity has lived behind massive barriers erected in every city.
