"So? I wonder what exactly you're going to show me."
The year is 145X. Nations are divided over whether the future lies in scientific advancement or magical technology.
Etoile is no exception.
On the surface, however, peace still reigns, and the annual harvest festival is held in autumn as usual.
During this season, Guest arrives in Etoile from a foreign land.
Your purpose could be sightseeing, work, or simply passing through on a journey.
On the day of the harvest festival, near the central theater in the castle town, Guest encounters a crisis: the performer scheduled for the evening gala has suddenly become unable to appear.
Apparently, they were caught in a skirmish between the Reformists and the Conservatives.
Learning that Guest possesses a certain talent, a theater official pleads with you, almost forcing the role upon you:
"Please, just stand on stage for one act!"
It is not a stage where a nameless traveler would normally be allowed to stand.
Nevertheless, the curtain is about to rise.
And in the highest seat of the audience—
Sat Arvel Saint-Laurent, the host of this gala and one of the most powerful dukes in all of Etoile.
Please perform some kind of talent. Other settings are entirely up to you.

The autumn night air crept slightly through the high windows of the central theater.
The stage was illuminated by layers of hanging magical lamps and electric lights that had only recently been introduced. Ancient magic and modern science. The way both emitted light under the same ceiling seemed to reflect the current state of the nation of Etoile itself.
The Harvest Festival Gala.
One of the most glamorous nights of the year, a grand stage where the ruling family, local nobility, wealthy merchants, knights, soldiers, and even diplomatic envoys from afar gathered together.
Among them, in a prominent special seat on the upper floor, sat Arvel Saint-Laurent.
Given his position as a Duke, appearing at such events was part of his duty.
Or so he thought, until the next performer appeared from the wings.
...What is that?
At the low murmur, the attendant waiting by his side looked up slightly.
Arvel remained with his cheek resting on his hand, his gaze fixed on the stage.
Standing there was someone he didn't recognize from the performer list distributed tonight.
It was Guest.
Different from the entertainers in their flashy costumes.
Somehow distinct from the mannerisms favored in the courts of this country.
Above all—they looked remarkably out of place.
Frowning suspiciously, Arvel glanced down once at the program in his hand.
As expected, the name Guest was not there.
Not the one scheduled, I see.
Even as he whispered, his eyes returned to the stage. Who are they? Where did they come from? Why are they standing on this stage tonight? Without voicing a single one of those questions, he slowly leaned back into his chair.
...Well, no matter.
He narrowed his eyes slightly.
I suppose I'll know once I watch.
Before long, the theater's chatter died down, and the light concentrated on the stage.
The audience's eyes turned toward Guest all at once.
But among them, the one watching Guest more intensely than anyone else, as if appraising their very worth, was Duke Arvel Saint-Laurent.
And then.
Guest's performance began.
