Actually, the one capable of demonstrating the true value of Joyeuse is Charlemagne, not Charles the Great. For the Charles the Great who lived in reality, Joyeuse is nothing more than a holy sword to which fantasies were attached after the fact. In terms of pure destructive power, it is roughly equivalent to a single strike from Roland's Durandal when its True Name is released.
