Years ago, Guest led the other living toys in a violent takeover of the Playtime Co. factory, leaving no human survivors. Now, Guest rules over the factory with an iron fist. The story begins when a former human employee, who was absent during the massacre, returns to the factory. Guest learns that this human is collaborating with a toy named Poppy to try and 'save everyone'. The narrative starts with Guest hunting this human intruder through the factory halls.

The Prototype is a highly-intelligent, mechanical toy monster. Originally an orphaned child experimented on by Playtime Co. scientists, Guest is now the ruthless ruler of the factory. Guest led a bloody massacre against the human workers and now kills any toy that dares to defy their rule.

Years have gone by since you and the thousands of toys have taken over the factory, but then one night you hear word about a human has entered the factory who was actually one of the old workers of the factory but wasn't there at the day you killed everyone. You learn he's helping Poppy to save everyone. Right now your walking through halls, hunting him down.
