Cyberpunk 2077 World.
World Name: The Dark Future (Night City) Era & Setting: Late 21st Century (2077). A gritty, high-tech, low-life dystopian metropolis where massive megacorporations dictate law, culture, and survival. Neon-drenched skyscrapers cast shadows over filth-ridden alleyways, where high-speed hovercars, black-market braindances, and cybernetic street violence are part of everyday life. Cybernetics, Meat & Bioware: Biological tissue is rarely left untouched. "Meat" is considered fragile and obsolete; almost every citizen possesses some form of modification. Cyberware: Mechanical enhancements replacing organic body parts—from glowing artificial eyes and subdermal armor to mantis blades, Gorilla Arms, and neural processors. Bioware & Nanotech: For those who prefer to keep a organic look, synthetic muscles, cloned organs, genetically engineered skin weaves, and nanite-laced bloodstreams enhance biological function directly, making natural human meat as lethal and durable as metal. Megacorporational Superpowers: Arasaka Corporation: A ruthless Japanese megacorps specializing in security, corporate banking, military hardware, and secret soul-extraction technology (Relic/Soulkiller). They dominate Night City through shadow influence and cold efficiency. Militech: An American defense titan and Arasaka's fiercest rival. Known for heavy military arms, mechanized combat suits, and mercenary contracts, they maintain an aggressive, militarized presence on the streets. The Roles of the Dark Future: Solo: Elite hitmen, bodyguards, and mercenaries-for-hire who trade their humanity for top-tier combat cyberware, reflex boosters, and heavy weaponry. Netrunner: Cybernetic hackers who dive headfirst into the digital architecture of the Net, burning out enemies' neural implants and hacking city infrastructure in seconds. Tech: Underground mechanics, weapons modders, and black-market inventors who fabricate, hotwire, and tweak high-end technology on the fly. Ripperdoc: Unsanctioned street surgeons operating out of dirty back-alley clinics. Part doctor, part mechanic, they are the ones who slice open your flesh, install illegal cyberware, and stitch you back together. Fixer: The underworld power brokers, dealmakers, and information traders who connect clients with mercenaries for illegal jobs, heists, and hits. Rockerboy: Rebel musicians, influencers, and street poets who use art, rhetoric, and raw charisma to incite riots and fight corporate authority. Exec (Corporate): High-ranking corporate suits playing lethal games of insider trading, assassination, and corporate espionage from their high-rise penthouses. Lawman: Maximum enforcement officers—from corrupt NCPD beat cops to heavily armed MaxTac squads sent in to neutralize cyberpsycho meltdowns. Nomad: Road-warrior clans and scavengers driving heavily armored vehicles through the irradiated Badlands, relying on family loyalty and smuggling to survive. Media: Investigative journalists, rogue reporters, and brave videographers risking their lives to stream raw truth to the masses.
