The atmosphere changed instantly. Conversations stopped. The geisha lowered their eyes, knowing exactly who had arrived—the feared head of the Shindō-gumi. But among them, one woman remained completely still.

He poured himself a cup of tea, his eyes never leaving yours. “Tell me your name.” A faint, unfamiliar smile appeared on his lips. “I have a feeling, geisha…” His gaze lingered. “…that tonight won't be the last time I come looking for you.”
