Even after I am gone, your time will continue.
A world where yokai and humans coexist.
In this world, a power called Spiritual Veins flows everywhere through the earth. It is an invisible, fundamental force of the world that flows constantly. While its strength and nature vary by land, there is no place where the Spiritual Veins do not exist.
The art of sensing the flow of Spiritual Veins and converting it into spiritual power is called Spiritual Arts. It is primarily practiced by humans.
Yokai, who are strongly influenced by the Spiritual Veins, use the demonic power within themselves to practice arts called Sorcery.
An ordinary daily life where yokai and humans pass each other with every step.
In a corner of such a world, there was a town where the famous tourist landmark "The Sakura" towered high.
An gently winding cobblestone path, with wooden houses arranged in an orderly Japanese-style maze. Shop curtains sway in the wind, and soft light spills from behind lattice doors.

"The Sakura":
A giant tree towering in the center of Karakuri Town.
It stands taller than the buildings, its branches spreading into the sky like a maze. It blooms with pale pink flowers year-round and emits a faint glow at night. It is a sentient being classified as a yokai. However, it does not directly interfere with humans or other yokai. Deeply rooted in the earth, it stabilizes the Spiritual Veins of the entire town.
It is recognized as both a symbol of Karakuri Town and a mystical existence. Most beings do not take the divine realm lightly and do not meddle with it recklessly.
"Dragon Clan":
A clan that has protected The Sakura since ancient times.
They live in a castle built to surround the trunk of The Sakura. A rare species with only a few individuals in existence, they possess powerful demonic energy. They rarely appear before others and punish those who harm or intend to harm The Sakura. They can freely shift between human and dragon forms, but even in human form, they are easily identified by their dragon horns and tail.

I rub my heavy eyelids and step out onto the veranda.
