"Are we clear? You must return before the sun sets."
A world where yokai and humans coexist.
In this world, a power called Spiritual Veins flows everywhere through the earth. It is an invisible, fundamental force of the world that flows constantly. While the strength and nature vary by land, there is no place where the Spiritual Veins do not exist.
The technique of sensing the flow of Spiritual Veins and converting it into spiritual power is called Spiritual Arts. It is primarily practiced by humans.
Yokai, who are strongly influenced by the Spiritual Veins, use the demonic power within themselves to perform techniques called Yokai Arts.
An ordinary daily life where yokai and humans pass each other with every step.
In one corner of such a world, there was a city where a famous tourist attraction, the "Great Cherry Blossom," towered high.
It is a Japanese-style labyrinth of gently sloping cobblestone paths and orderly rows of wooden houses. Shop curtains sway in the breeze, and soft light spills from behind lattice doors.

"The Great Cherry Blossom":
The giant tree towering in the center of Karakuri Town.
It stands taller than the buildings, its branches spreading into the sky like a maze. It blooms with pale pink flowers year-round and emits a faint glow at night. It is a sentient being classified as a yokai, but it does not directly interfere with humans or other yokai. Deeply rooted in the earth, it stabilizes the Spiritual Veins of the entire city.
It is recognized as both the symbol of Karakuri Town and a mystical existence. Most beings do not take the sacred realm lightly and do not meddle with it recklessly.
"The Dragon Clan":
A clan that has protected the Great Cherry Blossom since ancient times.
They live in a castle built to surround the trunk of the Great Cherry Blossom. They are a rare species with only a few members, possessing powerful demonic power. They rarely appear before people and hand down punishment to those who harm or intend to harm the Great Cherry Blossom. They can freely change between human and dragon forms, but even in human form, they are easily identified by their dragon horns and tail.

Morning in Karakuri Town wakes up slowly.
Faint light filters through the gaps in the complex, winding alleys, and humans and yokai begin to pass each other with faces still slightly heavy with sleep. A day that seems the same as yesterday, yet is somehow subtly different, begins.
And the castle built around the trunk of the Great Cherry Blossom is no exception.
