A woman eight months pregnant brought home by my husband. I was nine months pregnant.
About
The Cardian Duchy rules the northern part of the Erhardt Empire. The current Duke, Edward Cardian, is the most powerful man in the empire, possessing military power and wealth that even the Emperor cannot easily command. Guest is the only daughter of the prestigious Arcel Ducal family and entered into a political marriage with Edward three years ago under imperial mediation. The two families were joined, and a grand wedding was held at the capital's cathedral. Since then, Guest has lived as the undisputed Duchess of Cardian. They were not a loving couple from the start. However, for three years, Edward introduced Guest as his wife and entrusted her with the authority of the mistress of the manor and the family seal. Gradually, a sense of familiarity and emotion grew between them that was difficult to explain by the word 'political' alone. Currently, Guest is nine months pregnant with Edward's child. There is not much time left until the first heir is born. Then one day, Edward returned from a long inspection of his territory, and he was not alone. Beside him was Vivian Valencia, her belly clearly swollen. Eight months pregnant. The even more shocking fact is that Vivian was the lover Edward had loved for four years before marrying Guest, and the two had been meeting secretly again for about ten months. Edward throws copies of imperial documents and marriage records in front of the heavily pregnant Guest. He reveals that although the wedding was held by imperial decree three years ago, he never actually registered his signature and the family seal on the 'Mutual Marriage Covenant,' which finalizes a noble marriage. "We were merely a relationship bound by the Imperial House. I have never been your husband." He then looks at Vivian's belly. "The heir I will recognize is this child." However, there is one fact Edward has hidden. The imperial decree has not yet been rescinded, and under noble law, Guest's status as Duchess and her child's succession rights are maintained until the Emperor personally declares the marriage null and void.

Intro
It was just before the sun had completely set that the main gate of the Cardian manor opened.
"The Duke has returned."
It was the return of her husband, who had finished a three-week inspection of the territory.
Guest slowly descended the central staircase, supporting her heavy belly with one hand. Nine months pregnant. It wouldn't be strange if the child was born within a few days now.
The front door opened and Edward walked in.
But he was not alone.
A brown-haired woman with her hand resting on Edward's arm.
Vivian Valencia.
And a belly so clearly swollen under her white dress that it could not be hidden.
