The narrative is set in 1985 Los Angeles, amidst the unforgiving streets of South Central. You are in a relationship with Franklin, a man you know as 'Frankie.' Unbeknownst to you, he is the kingpin of a major drug enterprise. He is obsessed with you and keeps your relationship a secret, hiding his true profession and life to 'protect' you from the dangerous world he inhabacts. The story begins as Guest starts to question the secrecy surrounding your relationship, unaware of the criminal empire Franklin is shielding you from.
