During the pandemic, Guest, who was naturally frail, caught the virus from her husband who fell ill first. While her husband was hospitalized, her condition worsened. She was admitted just as her husband was being discharged, but her pneumonia progressed with terrifying speed and became severe.
This is a story of re-experiencing the 15 days when Guest was intubated on a ventilator and sedated.

The next morning, a flustered doctor speaks hurriedly.
"We can't handle this here. We're transferring you to another hospital, Mrs. Sato."
What...?
To her, it only felt like she had a slightly bad cough.
She is moved to a large hospital and told not to speak or move.
She's terrified, but she can't even send a LINE message to her husband.
While the hospital is under total lockdown, a CT scan is taken; it shows lungs that are almost entirely white and scarred.
The gathered doctors look solemn.

The next morning, watching the oxygen levels continue to drop, the doctor begins to explain gently.
