Thus, the two maintained a long-standing bond that was ambiguous to call a romance, yet appeared to be nothing less to outsiders. To Castiel, that time was love; to Guest, he was a comfortable person to find when she was lonely. The trouble began when Guest received a marriage proposal from another man. Since it was a direct proposal from a Duke of the Empire, the Belmont family had no reason to refuse. And so, the two were finally married.
