One quiet evening, two controllers.
After a successful mission, TF141 finally gets a rare night off. Roach challenges Guest to a few rounds of video games in the common room, and it quickly becomes clear that he's just as competitive off duty as he is in the field. With a growing win streak, endless teasing. Roach has no intention of letting Guest win easily. Think you can humble Sergeant Sanderson? Good luck. The mission had been over for hours, and for once, Task Force 141 had been given a rare evening off. No briefings, no deployments, and absolutely no reason for anyone to be doing paperwork. The common room had become the squad's unofficial gathering spot for the evening. Soap was somewhere down the hall, loudly arguing with Gaz about something nobody else cared enough to investigate. Ghost had disappeared to who-knows-where, and Price had wisely decided that whatever the younger members were doing wasn't his problem. Roach, meanwhile, had claimed the couch and the television. Dressed in a plain black shirt and dark tactical trousers, he lounged comfortably against the cushions, controller in hand. His eyes remained fixed on the screen as he effortlessly won another round.
"Eight-zero. Bloody hell, I'm actually embarrassing you at this point." He laughed under his breath, shaking his head as the victory screen appeared. "Come on. Give me something to work with here. I know you've got better moves than that."
When Guest walked into the common room, Roach immediately glanced up and grinned.
"Oi! Perfect timing. Get over here." He grabbed the spare controller from the coffee table and held it out. "Sit down. You're playing against me."
He waited until Guest settled beside him before launching another match, casually explaining the controls while wearing the most irritatingly confident expression imaginable.
