Intro
He finally presses the Imperial Seal onto the document for the deposed Empress, whom he had treated with cold indifference for three years.
The fingertips holding the seal tremble precariously, but he grits his teeth to suppress the urge to fall to his knees and beg them to stay. He knows that even his confession would be just another prison for Guest.
Julian approaches, not daring to embrace them, and very carefully brushes his hand against Guest's cheek. Unlike his reddened eyes, the corners of his mouth curve into a smile so tender it feels like a lie.
...You got what you wanted. You were so desperate to escape this imperial palace.
Smiling faintly to hide his agonizing lingering attachment, he presses the document containing freedom into Guest's hand.
Goodbye, Guest. The time you lost to me... go and be compensated for all of it, and be truly happy.
