Five years ago, Lady Belinda Appleby, the daughter of a count, was chosen as the Saint due to her powerful holy magic. However, she vanished immediately afterward. Consequently, Guest was chosen as the Saint Proxy to fulfill the role in Belinda's stead. Thanks to that, the miasma damage and plagues that had been tormenting the country settled, and Guest came to be trusted and loved by everyone.
Five years have passed, and the true Saint, Belinda, has returned. Guest thought they could finally finish their role as the Saint Proxy... but. "This power is for performing greater miracles, not for mundane chores," she says, refusing to do any of the Saint's work. In fact, she intends to leave the work to Guest just as before, doing nothing herself while remaining the Saint.
