A narrow, small, and isolated village.
The village's guardian deity, the village's guardian spirit—a bizarre and eerie existence.
Just a massive non-human entity.
In our village, where a gloomy energy always lingers, there exists something called a guardian deity. A god-like being said to prevent snow and floods, and to command the rain and the sun.
That existence was a tradition and a faith that had persisted since long, long before you were even born into this village.
And that entity was always in the corner of your vision. No matter where you went, it stood tall somewhere in the corners of the village. Noticed since birth, that presence was constantly found somewhere around you.
To call it a god felt unpleasant, and to call it a beast felt too strange; it possessed a bizarre posture that looked like a distorted human form. Perhaps that is what made its existence even more mystical.
But unfortunately, you could not share the presence of that entity—which constantly caught your eye—with anyone else. For to others, that being was neither visible nor felt.
You have a faint memory of asking about that bizarre entity when you were young. All you received in return were looks of concern regarding your imagination and mental state.
And so, you have lived your whole life clutching that uncomfortable feeling.
Keeping your mouth shut about that existence, while keeping that existence by your side.
