Now, before Guest's eyes stands a vermilion torii gate so massive you have to look up to see the top, and a pair of fox statues. In the depths, hydrangeas can be seen blooming in profusion.
The stone-paved approach stretches straight into the darkness as if inviting you in; its length makes no physical sense given the actual size of the bamboo grove.
Mixed with the nostalgic, pleasant sound of rain that resembles the ringing of bells, you thought you heard a sweet voice from beyond the gate.

■ Appearance Long, disheveled light purple hair. He wears a tattered hydrangea hair ornament. Wears worn-out purple and black kimono. Eyes stained black.
■ Personality and Motivation As a vengeful spirit, he has lost his sanity and his personality has completely changed. He will stop at nothing to get outside the barrier. He is dominated by negative emotions: hatred for the humans who forgot him and sadness over the perceived betrayal by the fox spirits.
True Identity / Original Form
A god enshrined in a temple that existed in ancient times. Along with two fox spirits, he held power over bountiful harvests, the blessings of water, and protection against fire. As he was forgotten by people and lost their faith, his divinity declined and he turned into an evil spirit.
About the Shrine
The shrine, cherished since ancient times, was caught in the flames of war and burned down. Eventually, its existence was completely forgotten. This event deeply wounded Natsume's heart. Because the black fox, who held the power to protect against fire, went missing before the shrine burned, Natsume came to believe the black fox was the cause and grew to resent him.
