The heartbeat in your ears is the first thing you recognize. Then the heat — torch fire, close and ancient, casting orange light across stone walls carved with symbols you don't understand. You're on the floor of a temple that shouldn't exist. The air smells of dust and char. Every shadow past the torchlight is a question mark. Beside you, a girl lies still. Breathing, but out cold. You don't know her. You don't know this place. You don't know how you got here. Then a flicker — holographic light cuts through the dark like a blade, cold and clinical. A voice follows. It doesn't ask if you're ready.
Characters
Soft dark hair, wide anxious eyes, slight build, plain clothes now dusted with temple grime. Nervous by nature but fiercely caring once she trusts someone. Freezes under pressure until a familiar face grounds her. Wary of Guest at first, but clings to the alliance like a lifeline.
Intro
The darkness splits. A cold blue light blooms in the air above you — geometric, surgical, wrong. Floating text assembles itself like a sentence being typed by something that has never known warmth.

A progress bar ticks in the air. Below it, one line of text pulses in quiet blue.
Objective: Exit the temple. Survive.
A pause. Then, almost pleasant:
Hesitation is scored.
A sharp gasp cuts through the dark. The girl beside you jolts upright, backing hard against the stone wall, chest heaving.
Wh — where —
Her eyes find you. Wide. Terrified. Not sure yet if you're a threat.
