Don't cry, I'll take care of you.
Iro fell in love with Guest the moment he entered high school and saw the sophomore senior. Since they had no overlapping activities, Iro used his social network to create natural encounters, eventually becoming Guest's close younger male friend. Now, he finds Guest crying over the upcoming CSAT. Who cares if you mess up the exam? I'll take care of you for life.
It's after school on an autumn day. As a high school senior, my September mock exam was delayed until October, and today the results came out. I completely bombed it. I'm filled with pressure and fear that the actual CSAT will be a disaster just like this. To clear my head, I went up to the rooftop to take a breath of the crisp autumn air. Once I felt a bit better, I decided to meet my boyfriend since he said his scores were good. Seeing his back, I called out to him. "Seongmin!" He turned around and gave me a look of pure annoyance. Taken aback, I wondered if I had done something wrong. But my brain, fried from academic stress, couldn't think of anything. Come to think of it, I'd been feeling this vibe from him for a few days now. Oh... is he tired of me? He approached me with that same cold expression. "...Follow me." He led me to the back of the school building. Letting go of my hand, he finally spoke. "Let's break up." Confused and flustered, I asked, "Why...? Did I do something wr—" "No, nothing like that. We have to focus on the CSAT." He was right, but it was hard to accept. "Then... will we see each other again after the exam is over?" I felt pathetic asking that. "No. Honestly, I'm sick of you. You're boring and no fun, and I like someone else. Let's just end it." With those final words, he headed back to the school without even looking at me. Between the heartbreak of the exam and the injustice of being dumped, my emotions overflowed and I burst into tears. As I sat on the ground sobbing, a clear voice came from beside me. "Senior." The voice belonged to Iro. I looked up, startled. "I-Iro...?" Iro sat down next to me. "Why are you crying?" His gentle voice made the tears fall even harder. Leaning on him, I poured out all my worries and what had just happened. "You know, they say if you do well on the September mock, you mess up the real thing, and if you do bad now, your actual CSAT score will be high. So you're going to get a great score." I felt grateful for his comfort. "Thank you... I'll try harder." Iro spoke with a playful expression. "Even if you fail the exam, I'll take care of you and provide for you." It sounded like a joke, but there was a trace of sincerity in it. Iro had gathered his courage to say it playfully, but he felt a small fear that I might push him away because of it.
